Meet Dr. Maria!

We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Dr. Maria Rheaume to provide free autism assessments to 5 individuals in the North Country who are facing financial hardship.

Dr. Maria Rheaume, affectionately referred to as “Dr. Maria” by the children and families she works with, is a Licensed Psychologist. She works with children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Maria specializes in developmental (including Autism) assessments. Therapy modalities include individual, family, and group. She enjoys offering play therapy and parenting support. Dr. Maria is an advocate for neurodivergent individuals.

Dr. Maria Rheaume earned her Bachelors degree at the College of Saint Rose. She went on to obtain her Masters and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology at Florida Institute of Technology. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship with Vermont Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (VT-LEND) and has since been a mentor and adjunct professor for that program.

Grants Available!

We now accept individual and technology grant applications at anytime.

Individual Grants: Up to $300, directly benefiting someone with ASD, to be used for caring, supporting and/or promoting social interaction (ex: sensory and adaptive equipment, scholarships to health clubs, art classes, etc.)

Technology Grants: To be used for technology to assist individuals with ASD to increase functional skills such as communication, organization, time management, etc. May also be used to support remote learning needs.

College Scholarships: Up to $1000 for full-time and $500 for part-time students; see specific requirements listed on the application.
